Creative Services at Wolford College

Wolford College uses a Course Managment System called Moodle. It is an application that we can use to create effective online learning sites for the students. Moodle is designed to be used with online courses as well as live lecture courses.
Each course has it's own Moodle page that lists current news about the course, any upcoming events as well as important dates to know. In Moodle, you can take surveys, quizzes and tests, have discussions with team members in forums and chat rooms, upload assignments using drop-boxes, and more. Students can check their grades and progress at any time during their course with Moodle.
Moodle is designed to support a wide variety of operating systems and browsers. While all the modules function well in multiple browsers, the following are supported and tested.
- With Windows PC's: Internet Explorer 7 or higher, Firefox and Safari
- With Macintosh OSX: Safari and Firefox
We use a piece of software called Camtasia. We use this as a learning tool to record every live lecture.
Students are able to download these videos from Moodle the day after the lecture to help with studying for exams.
For more information about Camtasia please visit the manufacturer's website by clicking here.
