Technology at Wolford College

We are committed with staying up to date with the latest technology. You are welcome to purchase a Windows machine, Macintosh computer or an iPad.

Reasons to get an iPad:

• More reliable
• Less expensive that most laptops
• Support in town; 2 stores in close proximity
• No worry about viruses or spyware
• More secure way of taking exams
• Easy access to email, calendars and contacts
• Better internet experience
• eBooks instead of textbooks (future capabilities)
• Easier access to online systems
• $10 dollar word processing App plus over 250,000 apps avaliable through the App store with more being created everyday.

iPad Requirements:

• Access to a desktop computer for set up or please ask the Apple technician to activate the iPad for you.
• A sturdy case that props the iPad up for test taking
  • Recommended: Incase Convertible Book Jacket
• Recommended: A bluetooth keyboard (any bluetooth keyboard works, the Apple keyboard also is a charging dock)

Laptop Requirements:

• At least 1 GB of RAM
• Windows: Antivirus software and Antispyware
• Word processing program
  • Microsoft Word
  • Apple iWork (Mac only)
  • Open Office (free)
  • NeoOffice (Mac only and free)
