Dr. Norman Wolford, the namesake of the College has been instrumental in the development of the program. Dr. Wolford has a long history in the development and implementation of Nurse Anesthesia programs. His leadership, hard work, and dedication are an example to the CRNA education community.


Dean Dean

Dr. John Nolan is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist, with a Special Certificate in Critical Care Medicine. His primary responsibility lies in planning, evaluation, and leadership. He works closely with the Program Director to ensure the highest quality education is delivered to students.

Dr. Nolan is a clinical and didactic instructor in the program.


Program Director Program Director

Mrs. Corder completed her Masters in Science in Nursing at NRWSNA/ FGCU program.

Mrs. Corder is responsible for the overall management and implementation of the Nurse Anesthesia Program. She also collaborates with faculty for recruitment, student recruitment, student advising, and evaluation of nurse anesthesia graduates.

Mrs. Corder is currently pursuing her doctorate at Nova Southeastern.


Assistant Program Director Assistant Program Director

Mrs. Ortega advises, guides, and evaluates the school faculty as well as paying specific attention to broad college and campus goals. She assists faculty in promoting student learning, including directing the Skills Laboratory for the nurse anesthesia program.

The Assistant Program Director serves as the Clinical Director and participates in teaching, service and research activities, and is a member of the administrative team of the College.


Academic Director Director Academic Education

Dr. Hussey joined Wolford College in June of 2003. Prior to moving to Naples, she was the Chair of the Adult Health Nursing Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Dr. Hussey has a clinical background in cardiovascular intensive care as a clinical nurse specialist and over 20 years of teaching experience in nursing.

Dr. Hussey has a number of publications including research on sternal wound infections and heart failure. She teaches several courses and assumes leadership for the didactic portion of the curriculum. Administrative responsibilities include admission, advising, library, and quality assurance of the program.


Dir Financial Aid Services Director of Financial Aid Services

He has knowledge of the U.S. Department of Education Title IV Program’s policies and procedures, as well as private institutions financial aid programs, and Veteran’s Administration policies and procedures for financial assistance to students.


Dir Enrollment & Student Services Director of Enrollment & Student Services

She is responsible for maintaining all applicant and student files. Additionally, she will prepare all paperwork and files for the Admissions Committee for review of applicants. She processes all correspondence to applicants including admission, enrollment, orientation letters, and temporarily serves as the College Registrar.

She is the first point of contact with the College.
