What types of chemistry courses are accepted?
The two chemistry courses can be any type of chemistry as long as one course has a lab.
Can I transfer any graduate courses I have previously taken?
No, Wolford College does not accept transfer credit.
How long is the program?
The program is 28 months long.
I have ICU experience, but no longer work in ICU. Is this acceptable?
You must have current ICU experience. If you have been out of the ICU more than two years, we will talk with you individually about your experience.
Is the program accredited?
Yes, the program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
What are the curriculum requirements?
The curriculum is a "front-loaded' curriculum. This means that the majority of the didactic course
work is taken during the first 12 months. The last 16 months are focused on gaining clinical
experience. There are seminars scheduled for each of the last four semesters. However, these
courses will be taught via the Internet or interactive television. The last semester contains a 3
credit hour seminar, which is designed to prepare the student to take the National Certification
Exam.

Where are the clinical sites?
The program has clinical sites in the Naples, Davenport, and Tampa area.
How many cases will I receive as a student nurse anesthetist?
Accreditation standards mandate that all student graduate with a minimum of 550 cases. Students average 1100 cases at graduation.
What types of clinical experiences will I receive?
The Wolford College student receives all types of case types, which are needed for graduation. These include cardiac, intracranial, pediatrics, obstetrics, regional anesthesia, and invasive line insertion.
How do I apply?
We will have an application packet that can be accessed at www.wolford.edu. If we have your address, we will mail you a packet.
When is the application deadline?
Applications are accepted throughout the year and reviewed on a rolling basis until the incoming spring or fall class is full. Early application is encouraged.
If accepted into the program does Wolford College require a deposit?
Yes, if you are accepted into the program a non-refundable deposit of $1,500 is required, which will be applied toward your first semester tuition.
