Wolford College School of Nurse Anesthesia is accepting applications for June 2010 admission. Early application is encouraged. Please read through the admissions criteria carefully and go through the checklist below. • Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or (MS) from a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) accredited program.


• Photocopy of (re)certification as a CRNA by the Council
  on Re-Certification of the AANA


• Three professional recommendations
  • Current clinical supervisor
  • Medical professional who has observed you clinically
  • Prior educational faculty


• Current Resume


• “Personal Purpose Statement” addressing the following areas (limit to 2 double spaced typed pages in 12 point Times Roman font in APA format):
  • Reasons for seeking this educational opportunity (DNAP degree)
  • Potential areas of study for capstone project – (this could be a practice
    improvement project, clinical management issue in an area of clinical significance and relevance).
  • Prior life/work experience that will be useful in attaining the DNAP
  • How the DNAP will assist the applicant in attaining career goals.
  • Description of the applicant's clinical practice which will include clinical practice setting, general description of the types and numbers of anesthesia cases per month.


• Photocopy (if permitted in your state) of current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse/ARNP


• TOEFL score of 550 (paper based) or 213 (computer based) for international students


• Completion of background check by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement /FBI (VECHS program) after acceptance, but prior to admission.
